Council Committees

Cochrane has several committees of Council which represent various civic interests. The Town recruits public-at-large (PAL) volunteers throughout the year, as vacancies become available. Vacancies are advertised in Municipal Matters.

If you live in Cochrane and you'd like to take an active part in decisions that affect the community, apply to be a PAL using the application form below. To be considered, candidates must be a Town resident and a minimum of 18 years of age, unless otherwise specified in the Terms of Reference.

Current Public at Large Committee member positions : 

•    Cochrane Library Board - up to 2 non-voting youth representatives, 16-18 years of age

•    Cochrane Planning Commission - 1 position

•    Subdivision & Development Appeal Board - 3 positions

•    Assessment Review Board - 4 positions
