The RCMP online crime reporting tool allows citizens to report certain crimes online. (Note: You can not report motor vehicle collisions through this portal.)
Examples of the types of crime that can be reported using the online crime reporting tool include:
- Theft under $5,000
- Lost and/or found property
- Vandalism
- Mischief
The incidents must also meet the following conditions in order to be reported online:
- There are no witnesses or suspects
- The item(s) lost or stolen must cost less than $5,000
- The vandalized property will cost less than $5,000 to repair
- There are no items involving personal identity, firearms, license plates or decals
All crime reported online will be treated the same as crime reported in any other way.
