Cochrane Connect Card

The Cochrane Connect Card program helps you save money for the things that matter most. This initiative contributes to the overall well-being of Cochrane and area residents, providing low-income households access to services and programs at a reduced rate. 

The Connect Card allows local businesses to support the community and the community to support local businesses. 

Benefits

The Cochrane Connect Card offers discounts and promotions to Cochrane and area local businesses, plus Cochrane-provided services, listed below. The card improves your access to affordable transportation, recreation, programs and services. 

Deals & discounts 

Discount eligibility is determined by the Connect Card level you qualify for.  Discounts and offers are subject to change. Discounts cannot be used in combination with other subsidies or discounts.  GST is not included. 

Program application & eligibility

Eligibility for the Cochrane Connect Card program is based on your income. See the below table for household income eligibility:

To apply for the program, you must book an appointment with a resource worker. They can help you get started:

  • Families with children aged 0 to 18, call FRN.
  • Individuals, family with children 18+, older adult, or rural resident, call FCSS.

At the meeting with a Resource Worker, all adults in the household will need to provide the following: 

Financial Information:

  • Canada Revenue Notice of Assessment (with line 15000), or
  • AB Works, EI or AISH confirmation (income support)

Proof of address: 

Available to residents of Cochrane and the surrounding area. Applicants will need to show one of the following:

  • mortgage or lease agreement, or
  • current bill showing name and address, dated within 3 months.

Enrolment in the program lasts up to one year. Program participants must reapply annually by providing a Notice of Assessment from your previous year’s tax return.

If you own a local business, consider joining the Connect Card Program to build long-lasting community connection. Becoming a Connect Card partner comes with many benefits for your local business. It’s an opportunity to give back to the community, supporting those in need. A partnership also helps get your local business recognized. Through the Connect Card Program, you will receive recognition through:

  • program highlights
  • communications and marketing, including business profiles and spotlights 
  • discount information targeted to existing and potential Connect Card users in Cochrane and surrounding areas
  • the opportunity to be a part of the Connect Card sticker recognition program, visibly demonstrating your participation in the Connect Card Program in your storefront
