Utility account
Your utility account connects you to water and sewer services, waste & recycling and organics collection and Eco Centre services. In Cochrane, your utility bill includes the cost of:
- water consumption
- sewer consumption
- Eco Centre fees
- water, recycling and organics collection
- storm sewer fees
Property assessment and taxes
All property owners will receive their annual assessment notice and property tax bill based on information provided by Alberta Land Titles. We recommend you review property taxes and assessment information, including the annual tax cycle and property tax estimator, before your move to Cochrane.
- Sign up to receive your property assessment and tax bill through paperless delivery.
- Register for the Tax Installment Payment Plan (TIPP) to pay your property tax bill in monthly installments.
Animal licence
If you’re moving with a dog or cat, you will need to register for a Cochrane animal licence. All dogs and cats over three months must have a licence.
Register your pet or service animal
Business licence
Start your business licence application to register your business with the Town of Cochrane and be added to the Cochrane business directory. All annual business licence invoices are mailed in December.
