Seniors, 60 years of age older, may be eligible for a $500 credit on municipal property taxes.
Applicants must be a minimum of 60 years old.
Applicants must be a residential property owner and living in your property
Applicants must not own any other property.
Applicants must meet minimum income guidelines.
For one owner on title, income must be under $33,410.
For two owners on title, the combined incomes must be under $54,640.
The 2025 program will start April 28, 2025.

Applicants who have had the rebate previously will need to complete the application form annually at FCSS office.
All applicants must show their 2024 Revenue Canada Income Tax Notice of Assessment (NOA).
All applicants must show their 2025 Town of Cochrane Property Tax bill.
All owners on the title must apply under the same application and have to sign the application.
Deadline for applications must be completed by Dec. 31, 2025.
Seniors property tax deferral program
Seniors, 65 years of age and older, may be eligible to access additional tax support through the Government of Alberta seniors property tax deferral program. The program provides eligible seniors the option to defer all or a portion of their property taxes through a low-interest home equity loan.
