The Social Recovery Task Force (SRTF) has launched a second survey to understand the impact COVID-19 continues to have on residents.
Survey results are designed to help the Town understand and respond to the community’s changing social needs.
The SRTF released an initial survey in June 2020; the results were used to develop a number of programs and resources to meet the identified needs.
Cochrane Family and Community Support Services (FCSS) manager Kim Krawec says the survey will help the SRTF understand how things have changed since the first survey was released.
“It’s important we keep our community and the services they need top of mind to ensure we maintain quality of life,” explains Krawec. “Monitoring the changing needs of residents through surveys is critical not only to the health of Cochrane in the short-term, but also to creating a sustainable future for all residents for years to come.”
Town Council created the SRTF and the Economic Recovery Task Force in May to help with Cochrane’s COVID-19 recovery. The mandate of the SRTF is to support a coordinated response to resident and community needs during and after the pandemic and contribute to community well-being, safety and resilience.
The survey results will help the Town and local agencies support vulnerable and at-risk populations by identifying and responding to emerging needs.
