The Town of Cochrane Fire Services is responsible for providing 24/7 fire suppression, rescue, fire prevention, fire inspection, and public education to the residents of Cochrane. We have fire service agreements with our neighbors in Rocky View County, MD of Bighorn, the Townsite of Redwood Meadows, Stoney Nation, and Alberta Forestry. We are a co-response agency for Alberta Health Services.
Fire Response
The operational firefighting division is deployed from the Protective Services Center located at 20 Grande Boulevard.
We operate a four-platoon system. Our roster consists of one full-time chief of fire services, a deputy chief of operations, and administrative assistant and 24 full-time fire personnel and 2 full time fire inspectors/investigators. We are supplemented by casual fire personnel.

We maintain an antique fire engine in our firefighters museum. the museum can be visited during regular office hours, Mon-Fri 8:30 am - 4:30 pm.
