1. When do the Cochrane Program and Activity Guides come out?

The Cochrane Program and Activity Guides come out in mid-May (summer programs), mid-August (fall and winter programs) and early December (winter and spring programs). (Please note: the 2019 winter/spring guide comes out Jan 2, 2019.)

2. When can I register for programs?

Registration starts at 9am the day the Program & Activity Guide comes out. Registrations are accepted by phone at 403-851-2534 or in person at Cochrane FCSS (209 Second Avenue W) during business hours.

The Winter Activity guide comes out January 2, 2019; registration for winter/spring programs starts January 7, 2019. We're launching a new online registration system in January — watch for more info and instructions coming soon!

3. Do I need a waiver for every program?

One waiver covers all Town of Cochrane recreation programs. You need to complete one for each year, starting in July.

4. Can I show my work at a ClubHouse Art walk?

We're always looking for artists to participate in monthly ClubHouse Art Walks. Find out more!

5. Has there been a change to Town recreation programs?

Town of Cochrane recreation programs are in transition following a recent reorganization. The Town is using this transition as an opportunity to evaluate recreation programs and goals before moving forward. While programs currently offered by the Town may change in the coming months, no final decisions have been made. The Town continually reviews its programs and services to provide opportunities that improve the quality of life of our residents.

6. Does the Town do Christmas Light Up?

Christmas Light Up is a community event organized by the Cochrane Light Up committee. It is usually scheduled for late November or early December and supports the Cochrane Activettes Share Your Christmas.

7. How do I apply for Arts Endowment Funding?

8. Can I sell food or other goods at a Town event?

We recruit vendors for food sales at Town sponsored events every spring; successful vendors must meet health regulations. Contact us at 403-851-2534 for more information. We do not currently allow for-profit sales of any goods at Town events; however, the Cochrane Farmers' Market takes applications for vendors.

9. How can I show my artwork at the Cochrane RancheHouse?

Local artists are invited to display their work in the administration lobby on the second floor of the Cochrane RancheHouse. Contact us if you are interested in one of our monthly bookings.

10. How can I find out more about the Mural Mosaic at the Cochrane RancheHouse?

Nearly 200 local artists worked for three months to produce the Trust Cochrane Mural Mosaic. Find out more about the the concept, process and the final mural by visiting the Mural Mosaic website.

The official unveiling of Cochrane's own Canada 150 Mosaic will be on Canada Day 2017. Cochrane is proud to be a part of the largest mural in this national project, spanning 40 feet long by 8 feet high!
